Paragpur & Guler

-

Located at an elevation of 2000 feet above sea level, heritage village Paragpur is ideally suited to explore the Kangra valley. Many places of historic, religious, and cultural importance are within easy reach. With its equitable climate, easy access, safe passage, and rich flora and fauna, Paragpur and its surroundings offer an ideal location for village tourism. Guler is a renowned pre-colonial hill station in the lower Himalayas and was a residence to the royal family of Kangra. It is famous for bringing into existence the “Guler Style” of painting, which is presented to date in the Chandigarh Museum. The rise of the Guler paintings is what is known as the early stage of Kangra art.
